MAG is seeking a new Treasurer to join our passionate, dynamic, and collaborative board and help lead the organisation through the development of our next strategic plan. As a Trustee you will contribute to the development of MAG, by helping to shape the organisational strategy and monitor progress, and by ensuring that the charity pursues its mission, objectives, sustainability and duty of care to our people.

This is a voluntary role that comes with the opportunity to use your strategic financial management to advise the work of a leading global humanitarian organisation committed to conflict prevention and recovery.

We are looking for someone who shares our vision and who will lead the Board on financial governance for the organisation. You will have a good understanding of financial management and accounting, strong business and financial acumen, and a passion for change.

Location and details of the role

The time commitment for this post includes four Board meetings a year, quarterly Audit, Finance and Risk Committee meetings, for which you would be the chair, and bi-annual Board away days. Our UK office is based in Manchester, however virtual attendance at Board and Committee meetings is fine. This is a three-year voluntary role, with the ability to serve a second three-year team of office.
