Salary: £43,428, plus contributory pension (if UK based)

MAG has undertaken some significant and positive organisational changes in the last two years to enable us to sustain our growth, while ensuring we remain effective in our operational delivery when being faced with changing and complex Programmatic environments. As we transition into 2022, we are pleased and excited to open four new roles within our Programmes Department – Regional Programme Support Managers (“RPSM”). Each Manager will support operational delivery in our country projects and programmes operating across four regional portfolios:

• Middle East and Europe

• South and South East Asia

• East and Southern Africa

• Latin America and Rest of World

The primary purpose for the RPSMs is to support MAG’s programmes to deliver their contractual and strategic objectives by collaborating and partnering with Country Directors and supporting the Regional Director in core programming areas including contract delivery and monitoring, human resource management, financial management, compliance, risk management, communications and advocacy, stakeholder liaison and representation.

As one of five RPSMs, reporting to a Regional Director, you will work with senior staff in Programmes to ensure the regional portfolio is delivering high quality donor reports and proposals, support the Regional Directors and Country Directors with incident management, disciplinary investigations and communication, as well as assisting in the development of the regional portfolio, providing support to assessments to new country locations, and identifying, developing and delivering cross-cutting projects in key strategic areas such as gender, conflict sensitivity and the environment.

This is a challenging and varied role, offering the opportunity to use your wide-ranging management experience to influence Programme and Organisation activities. The post-holder will be expected to lead and coordinate complex networks of relationships across the region and beyond.

The successful candidate will have excellent project management, business planning and budget management skills and the ability to coordinate multiple activities at the same time. Experience of working in a senior management position in a development or humanitarian organisation is essential, and candidates with exposure to the mine action sector would be of particular interest.

Regular travel will be essential in this role, which could be visiting a MAG programme, or to meet with donors or other stakeholders, all Covid permitting.

This is a demanding but highly rewarding position that will be suited to a highly motivated, solution-focused and flexible manager. It will offer you the opportunity to use your strategic and leadership skills in a fast-paced environment.
