Manchester based, with international travel
Salary: £50,340 - £56,952, plus contributory pension
MAG has undertaken some significant and positive organisational changes in the last two years to enable us to sustain our growth, while ensuring we remain effective in our IT delivery. Our current strategic direction commits us to harnessing digital technology to improve business performance and efficiency. We are pleased and excited to open this new role to help advance our work in this area.
The primary purpose for the Head of Digital Technology is to act as a strategic business partner with leaders and senior manager across MAG, for leading and driving IT and digital developments across the organisation, ensuring they are delivered in accordance with our vision, mission and values.
This role will provide strategic leadership and support by acting as a digital transformation champion, ensure our IT and Information systems are fit for purpose, while leading in the development of our digital transformation plan
There will be a healthy amount of project delivery with the role in terms of analysing our business processes and documents and recommending appropriate measures for improvement. You will lead and be supported by our experienced IT Manager, who in turn manages 2 other IT professionals.
This is a challenging and varied role, offering the opportunity to use your wide-ranging management experience to influence organisational activities. The post-holder will be expected to lead and coordinate complex networks of relationships across the region and beyond.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of driving transformational change to business processes and systems through the effective use of digital, data and technology. They will also have excellent project management, business planning and budget management skills and the ability to coordinate multiple activities at the same time. Experience of working as an IT Lead in a global business is essential.
Regular travel will be essential in this role, which could be visiting a MAG programme, all Covid permitting.
