Chief Executive
MAG has worked across the Globe for 30 years to save lives in communities recovering from war. A world leader in its field, MAG employs, trains and supervises local people to clear landmines and bombs and operates at the forefront of assistance to states to improve their ability to secure and manage weapons and ammunition. We currently employ more than 5,000 staff working in 26 countries.
With recent and ongoing conflicts our work is in demand and we are proud of our track record and our ability to respond with high quality programmes in the most challenging of environments. We are part of a global movement to build awareness and commitment to a landmine free 2025. The goal is ambitious and vital and through our strong operations and constructive engagement both with policy and governments, we are determined to achieve a safe future for communities affected by violence, conflict and insecurity.
We are seeking a Chief Executive to provide robust leadership, strategic and organisational development and build on the work of our high quality and professional team. This Chief Executive role is all about people and leadership – a hugely exciting opportunity to build and develop a culture of collaboration and pragmatic decision-making that unlocks the talents of a passionate workforce and enables even more nimble, responsive and high-quality programmes and support services against a backdrop of multi-contract funding and a complex stakeholder environment. Working with a collegiate and supportive Board, you will bring energy, innovation and team spirit to meet the challenges ahead.
MAG is committed to providing equal opportunities for everyone regardless of their background. We value diversity and acknowledge the under-representation of people from certain backgrounds, both within our organisation and across the sector. We particularly encourage applications from Black, Asian and minority ethnic people; people with disabilities; people from the LGBT+ community; and for senior positions, applications from women. We strive to provide an inclusive and supportive working environment where all employees feel respected and supported in fulfilling their potential.
