Human Resources Administrator

Fixed term to December 2022

Manchester City Centre

The starting salary for this position is £19,308 per annum (plus contributory pension)

As the only UK aid and development charity to have shared the Nobel Peace Prize, Mines Advisory Group (MAG) is an energetic, inspiring and forward thinking organisation. Wars and conflicts erupt, subside and end. But they leave behind millions of landmines, unexploded bombs and unsecure arms. These pose an every-day danger for decades and disrupt the lives of communities for generations. At MAG, we believe that whenever and wherever wars happen, ordinary people should not be the ones who pay the price.

We are seeking a HR Administrator to join our HR team, which provides support and advice to MAG’s employees working in over 25 countries across the world and to MAG HQ in the UK.  If you’re a pro-active, organised administrator with a great eye for detail, excellent communication skills and the ability to deal with a really fast paced role, why not use your skills in an amazing global charity, helping to save lives around the world, all from a fantastic office in Manchester city centre!

Working with us, your administrative skills will help make a real difference, supporting our global lifesaving work.  You can use your existing administration skills and get experience in HR whilst doing something really worthwhile with your time. In the role, you’ll work alongside another HR Administrator to provide excellent administrative support to the HR team, looking after the administration systems.  This is a fast-paced role which will require high levels of organisation, attention to detail, pro-activity and multi-tasking.  You’ll work on tasks related to areas like recruitment, payroll, inductions and many more.

Previous experience of working in HR is not necessary, but you will have to show your enthusiasm to work in a busy HR Department. You will need to have strong administrative experience to ensure that all our processes are followed effectively and above all, you will need to be approachable, flexible, super organised, have a good eye for detail and be ready to work in a busy role, taking pride in your work and striving for perfection.

This is a great opportunity to work for an international charity, using your existing skills and gaining new ones to develop your career.  We’ve got a friendly team and a modern, professional office and this job is a fantastic opportunity for the right person.
